WHO WE ARE

We are Nick Matney (and his ever supportive family). Nick spent a decade as an engineer managing large scale projects for manufacturing in Western NC and Eastern TN before pivoting to engineering consulting and penultimately working as project manager for a local Building Science consultancy.

Nick is an incredibly detail oriented person who thrives in the minutiae of a project. Excel spreadsheets are his (not so) secret passion and Gantt charts keep him up at night. The pride of a project well executed is the goal no matter the size and scope.

WHERE WE ARE

Nick lives in the idyllic mountains of Western North Carolina just south of Asheville. While local projects are our bread and butter, we do remote consulting as well!

WHAT WE DO

We protect the owner’s investment by keeping the build true to the design and specifications by advising early on assemblies, then verifying materials and workmanship in the field so the building performs as promised.

We help you manage your projects, large and small, from start to finish. We are not General Contractors (whose deliverable is the project itself) we are the overseer who ensure that your hard earned money is spent on a quality product and a quality installation. We have expertise in framing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and more so you can have confidence that you will get what you ordered.

We know that sometimes things can fall through the cracks. With our services you can have peace of mind that communication with clients, customers, and contractors alike happen clearly and with appropriate urgency to keep your project on track.
